Melasma is a common skin condition, which causes discoloration of the face. Non-invasive laser treatment can destroy the targeted tissue without disruption of the skin surface. A light pin-prick sensation may be experienced during the treatment and there may be slight redness on the skin for one or two days. Brown spots will become darker and will remain dry for three to four days. The skin will then peel off from the affected portions.
